The Gruber & Kostal Dental Office Building was completed in November of 2006 and is located on Countryside Parkway, east of Route 47. The 6,700 square foot prairie style building is the new home of Gruber & Kostal Dental Offices, a long time Yorkville business. In addition to the dental offices, the building contains 2,400 square feet of lease-able office space. In keeping with the “prairie style”, the building features deep sheltering roof overhangs and horizontal bans of brick, stones and windows. The expansive corner windows bring the outside in. In designing the building, the dentists first and foremost stressed the importance of natural light within each of the six dental exam rooms. The prairie style detailing of the exterior carries through to the interior, as well, with wood casing and horizontal banding throughout. The architect for the building is Michael Elliott, AIA. Muellner Construction of Yorkville constructed the building. Accepting the Golden Arrow Award for New Development for The Gruber & Kostal Dental Office Building are Doctor Joseph Gruber & Doctor Dennis Kostal.

Cozy Corner is located at the southeast corner of Routes 47 & 126, and was developed by HRM Properties & Development, in partnership with H & J Investments. Until 2006, when construction was completed, this corner was under utilized and in need of a complete transformation. Now, this 15,000 square foot center is home to “Anytime Fitness”. It is also the temporary home to “State Bank of Illinois,” during the construction of its regional branch on the corner. The center itself is classic in design, and boasts of a superior masonry exterior, which is rich with detail and design lighting. This type of aesthetic appeal makes this corner a standout in Yorkville. With other new businesses on the way there is no lack of activity at Cozy Corner. Accepting the Golden Arrow Award for New Development for Cozy Corner are the developers, Harold Oliver and John Bell.

Prairie Pointe Executive Center is a newly developed four-lot commercial/professional office development, which surrounds the Yorkville Post Office at Countryside Parkway and McHugh Road. The Prairie Pointe Executive Center is distinctive since it was planned and designed with some unique “green” elements including a meandering Bio-Swale throughout the development and native plantings and vegetation, which are part of an extensive landscape design. The Prairie Pointe Executive Center currently has a 43,000 square foot professional office building, which is the new home to a number of businesses including Verity Three, a computer consulting firm, Prime Construction, the owner and builder of the new facility, and the primary tenant of the facility, SEC Group, Inc, which includes Smith Engineering, SEC Planning, and SEC Automation. There will soon be another addition to this office building, as the Yorkville Economic Development Corporation will be moving in to its new home there later this month. Prairie Pointe Executive Center is an ideal location for an array of businesses, which may include additional professional office buildings, a future hotel, a banquet facility, a day care facility and any number of retail businesses.
