Yorkville Animal Hospital is located at the corner of Garden Street and Route 47. This 11,000 square foot state-of-the-art animal hospital offers traditional medicine as well as digital radiography and in house laboratory. The hospital also has grooming, and boarding facilities that offer pet suites with individual flat screen televisions. Their large outdoor and indoor play areas allow for pets to exercise and play. This hospital is a non-appointment clinic for both surgery and patient care. The hospital also has a reproductive specialist on staff, and works with numerous rescue groups and shelters. Raging Waves Water Park is the culmination of many years of planning to bring a major outdoor waterpark into the Chicagoland market. Raging Waves sits on 45 acres in Yorkville, located just off of Rte. 47. The park features 18 waterslides, a 1400 foot lazy river, a 25,000 square foot wave pool and many other components and features of a major destination waterpark. Raging Waves was designed with the entire family in mind and having just completed their inaugural season, they look forward to many years of families splashing together. Rush-Copley Healthcare Center opened it's doors in Yorkville on July 21st of this year. This beautiful Prairie style building represents the first time that Rush-Copley has expanded its healthcare services outside of the Aurora Campus. Located on 48 acres, Rush-Copley Healthcare Center is just the first phase of development and the anchor for future healthcare services including a dialysis center and tentative plans for both a surgery center and an emergency room. Currently, convenient care, occupational health care services, diagnostic testing, laboratory and complete imaging services are available daily. This building also houses physician's offices and a conference center available free of charge for groups up to 50 people. Accepting the Golden Arrow Award for New Development for Rush-Copley Healthcare Center is Nancy Wilson, Vice President of Ancillary Operations.

Goodwill Industries store and donation centers have become mainstream retail outlets, specializing in a wide selection of high-quality re-sale goods. In June, when Goodwill opened the new store and donation center in Yorkville on Countryside Parkway, the organization began pursuing LEED Certification. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance "green" buildings. They are currently finalizing their submission to the US Green Building Council and expect the process to take anywhere from five months to one year before certification will be awarded. Goodwill's goal is to build new stores that are environmentally responsible and a healthier place to shop and work. Kendall Marketplace was developed as a partnership by Harlem Irving Companies and Mid-America Development Partners LLC. This project is located on a 193-acre parcel on Rt. 34 and Cannonball Trail in Yorkville. This premier hybrid of town and power center boasts an impressive lineup of prominent anchor stores and fashion retailers including Super Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, Marshall's, PetSmart, Home Depot, Bath and Body Works and many more. When completed, Kendall Marketplace will feature approximately 800,000 square feet of retail space and more than 50 local and national retailers. Kendall Marketplace offers an opportunity for retailers to meet one of the fastest growing regions' one-stop shopping demands. Wheatland Title Guaranty relocated to Yorkville in December of 2007. They moved into the previous Castle Bank building on West Veterans Parkway, nearby the northwest corner of Routes 34 and 47. By making use of the former bank facility, and with the help of HRM Properties and Development, LLC, the property has been converted into a state-of-the-art office facility totaling approximately 22,000 square feet. The interior of the property is filled with slate, glass, maple paneling and cutting edge technology. To complement the total renovation on the inside, the outside of the building was greatly upgraded, including all new windows, and classic stonework and easily accessible entrances. In addition to the beautiful physical facility, Wheatland's contribution to Yorkville has been the relocation of approximately 70 full-time employees, of which 45 work at the Yorkville office, and 25 work all over the state of Illinois. Chignoli Auto of Yorkville is located on North Bridge Street a quarter mile south of Route 34. After purchasing the property in the summer of 2006, extensive renovations have been completed on what was once a firehouse for the City of Yorkville. Some of these renovations include developing a garage into a full-scale showroom, creating a sales office with a waiting area, and most recently the addition of a newly paved lot with beautiful landscaping to showcase the high quality pre-driven autos. This comprehensive makeover culminated in the grand opening in October. For over 34 years the Chignoli Family has owned and operated their business. Yorkville Eye Professionals office building was completed in May 2008. It is located on Countryside Parkway, one block west of Route 47. This 3500 square foot stand alone office building was due for a much needed face lift that was undertaken with the expertise of Yorkville's own general contractors, Willman and Groesch and the architectural firm of Temple Architects LLC. Yorkville Eye Professionals has been located in Yorkville for over 30 years. Dr. Karen Onishi acquired the practice five years ago and offers a unique personalized perspective to general optometry. Accepting the Golden Arrow Award for Business Expansion/Redevelopment for Yorkville Eye Professionals is owner Dr. Karen Onishi.
St. Joseph Cabinetry & Designs is a favorite with homebuilders, remodelers, and homeowners specializing in residential, commercial, and municipal cabinetry and design projects. Located in the Yorkville Home Design Center and covering over 18,000 square feet of space, this project embraced the aspects of the green movement and value engineering. The project features, passive solar and radiant heat, solar panel/boiler supplement heat, the use of recycled glass countertops made from wine bottles, motion sensor lighting, and reclaimed lumber. The build out included over 10 craftsmen and trades from the Kendall Country area. As an award winning design company with many published projects, Saint Joseph has formed a cooperative business center within their showroom with many other like type businesses. To achieve this, they carved out 16 additional rental offices spaces within their own environment, creating a one stop shop experience for flooring, painting, countertops, and a home theater company to name a few. The adjacent Good Grapes Wine and Gourmet Shop will also be a great place to help grow your business or hold your next special event.
